The team

CrunchEd Productions was set up by David Baugh, Joe Moretti, Mark Pentleton and Oscar Stringer, four Apple Distinguished Educators who work closely with the Apple UK Education team. David, Joe, Mark and Oscar have many years of experience in working with creative technologies in an educational context.

David Baugh is a primary-trained teacher with experience of teaching students aged 5-18 as a school ICT coordinator and LA Advisor for Denbighshire. He is now an independent trainer, author and adviser for ICT. David has been an Apple Distinguished Educator for 9 years and is an Apple Certified Trainer. David’s particular area of interest is the use of digital media in the classroom and its role in the creative learning process. Most recently he has authored and developed the Digital Creator Award which allows students and teachers to get accreditation for the creative use of digital media. Joe Moretti combines his love for music with a wide experience in education, having taught at Junior, Secondary, Further Education and Higher Education Levels for some 27 years. As the managing director of MakeMoreMusic Ltd, Joe travels the UK, Central Europe, Asia and Africa providing training and workshops in music technology, specialising in Logic, GarageBand, Record and Reason and their use within  music and wider curricula. Joe has been an Apple Distinguished Educator since 2004, is also an Apple Distinguished Professional and is known internationally for his innovative work with music technology.

Mark Pentleton is a Modern Foreign Languages specialist with many years of experience in education both in the classroom and as a local authority development officer. Mark now is the director of Radio Lingua Ltd, teaching languages to hundreds of thousands of students every week via internationally-renowned podcasts. Mark has been working as an Apple Distinguished Educator since 2004 and has delivered presentations and training on creative technologies throughout Europe.

Oscar Stringer has been working in education for over twelve years, inspiring students and teachers to discover the creative potential of ICT, in particular through animation. Oscar’s day-job involves travelling around the country with a boot-load of plasticine and MacBooks, running workshops and training for students and teachers. Oscar is also an Apple Distinguished Educator and regularly speaks about animation and creative technologies throughout Europe and further afield. Find out more about Oscar on his website.
